WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (July 15) - It may have been a few weeks since Jeff Floyd piloted his #F1 GRT/Kuntz & Company Racing Engine Super Late Model, but he didn't show any signs of rust as he picked up a pair of top three finishes over the weekend in O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model action.

On Friday night at Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas, Jeff started sixth in his heat race and charged to a 2nd place finish with 27 cars on hand for the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model event. Via passing points, Jeff started outside front row for the 30 lap feature event. Jeff would battle for the top spot for much of the race before recording a third place finish in his #F1 GRT/Kuntz & Co. Super Late Model. Teammate, Jordan Jones, would record a 16th place finish on Friday night.

On Saturday night, the action shifted to Arkansas Motor Speedway in Nashville, Arkansas for another $2,000 to win event. Jeff would start 7th in the main event. He would fall back to the 9th position early in the event before mounting a charge to the front of the pack. Floyd took over the lead during the race's middle stages, but a caution flag relegated the pass. He would ultimately finish in the 2nd position, and earn the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award. Jordan Jones in the #60 JFR Motorsports/GRT/Kuntz & Co. Super Late Model would battle in the top five for much of the event before having to go to the back of the pack when contact with another driver sent him spinning shortly after the race's midway point. Jones would bounce back to a 13th place finish.

"We didn't get the wins that we were looking for, but we made up ground on Joey (point's leader) in the O'Reilly MSRA point standings, and that's definitely a good thing," noted Floyd on Monday from his race shop.

There will be no rest for the weary as the 2008 season rolls on for the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Models this Friday and Saturday, July 18th-19th with a pair of events at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. Both events will be co-sanctioned by the Allstate DLRA Super Late Model Series. Friday night will be highlighted by a $2,000 to win/$350 to start event. On Saturday night, $3,000 to win and $450 will be up for grab for the Super Late Model division.
