SOUTH PARK, Penn. (July 14) - The 2007 Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) Champion Jared Miley and Jared Miley Racing have assumed the Unified Tour Race Championship Tour (UFO) point lead after a solid fourth place finish at Central PA Speedway's 'Yankee Doodle' and another strong fourth at the 'Red Miley Memorial 53' at PPMS. Jared leads 2007 Lernerville Speedway Track Champion Alex Ferree by five points and 2003 Mid-Atlantic Championship Series Rookie of the Year Keith Barbara by twelve.

After sitting in the rain for the 'Firecracker 100' weekend at Lernerville Speedway, Miley and crew prepared for a busy Fourth of July weekend that started Thursday, July 3rd at Central PA Speedway in Clearfield, PA. The UFO sanctioned 'Yankee Doodle' was interesting for Jared as he ran as high as second at times but as the race went on Miley's helmet visor became fogged obstructing his vision and pushing him back to sixth. After a late race caution helped Jared clean his visor, he was able to work his way back to fourth at the finish.

The following night Jared took his Colussy Chevrolet / Brougher's Machine Shop / Red Miley's Miley Truck Rental / Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic / Miley BP Car Wash / Rocket Chassis Chevrolet Impala #H1 to Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH for the $3,000 to win 'Freedom 30'. Miley was dialed in and running a strong second when his right rear Hoosier let go with ten laps remaining relegating him to a 16th place finish.

Jared made up for his disappointing night at Raceway 7 with a second place finish at PPMS behind race winner Dave Wade the following night July, 5th. Miley returned to Lernerville Speedway on Friday, July 11 to battle his way from his 13th starting spot to finish third behind Sammy Stile and Alex Ferree. Two laps into the feature event at PPMS on Saturday, July 12th mother nature arrived canceling the remainder of the event.

The 'Red Miley Memorial 53' was next up for the Jared Miley Racing team on Sunday, July 13. Jared finished second in his heat to put him ninth on the starting grid for the 53 lap UFO sanctioned $5,300 to win event. Miley made his way to the top five early in the event and battled with Keith Barbara for the fourth spot for much of the event. Jared eventually cleared Barbara and rode to a smooth fourth place finish.

This weekend Jared will be in action at Lernerville Speedway on Friday, July 18th for their regular 'Fab Four' event and will then head back to PPMS where Jared is holding a 20 point edge on Lynn Geisler in the Pizza Hut Super Late Models point standings on Saturday, July 19th.
