INDIANA, Penn. (February 14) - The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series is pleased to announce another date to their 2008 docket at Gina and Ryan Lynn's Hesston Speedway, Hesston, PA. The new addition is on Sunday, April 13 and the event is being dubbed as the "Ice Buster 50" which pays $5,000 to-win from the $31,000 in posted prizes and awards. The "Ice Buster 50" will be a full MACS program including AlturnaMATS® Time Trails, Heats, Bazell Oil presented Sunoco Race Fuels B Mains as well as the 50 lap finale.
Jeff Geesey, Series Event Coordinator commented, "We are excited to be at Hesston twice this season. Our competitors love this racy, wide 3/8 mile. The Lynn's, their extended families and employees have done a nice job over the past four years and the fans are in for a treat. Additionally, we are pleased to tie together that weekend with the addition of Hesston event to the "Western Maryland Open 50" at Rick and Ernie Jones' Oval Track Promotions at "The Rock" in Cumberland, MD. Logistically these events make sense from a travel and distance perspective being approximately two hours a part," concluded Geesey. More events are still being negotiated with potentially more being added by months end.
