CORONA, Calif. (February 13) - After six exciting nights of racing and great crowds the 32nd Annual Dart Winternationals, sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, has audited the National points totals and are now ready to be released.
We had an occurrence take place where we penalized driver Eric Jacobsen as the aggressor in a confrontation by entering another driver's pit area. This resulted in a $1500 fine and a loss of 300 points. The entire $1500 will go to Dirt Racing Outreach to help this charitable organization continue to help others.
The 2008 Quarter Master Rookie of the Year candidates have a tight battle and are within a one race swing that could change the points from 1st to last. All of these gentlemen raced hard and had good showings at the 32nd Annual Dart Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park. The Quarter Master Rookie of the Year Contenders have until March 1, 2008 to declare official candidacy.
