PEORIA, Ariz. (February 25) - SWDRA (Southwest Late Model Racing Association) officials are proud to introduce their major series sponsor Total Seal Piston Rings along associate sponsors Hoosier Tire West, Pyle Air Conditioning and Sunoco Race Fuels.
SWDRA is pleased to release the 2010 Total Seal Piston Rings sponsored SWDRA Racing Schedule which is highlighted by return visits to Canyon Speedway Park, Prescott Valley Raceway, and Thunder Raceway, the venues that have hosted SWDRA events in previous seasons.
The season gets underway on March 13th with Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Arizona hosting the cars and stars of the SWDRA for some super exciting door to door short track action. The teams will return on April 24th for the 2nd of eight races scheduled at this Peoria race facility. The Total Seal Piston Rings SWDRA Late Models then travel to the 3/8 mile Prescott Valley Raceway at the Yavapai County Fairgrounds in Prescott Valley, Arizona on Saturday night, May 15th.
The first of four action packed two-day shows of the season takes place on May 29th & 30th as the SWDRA teams return to Canyon Speedway Park for two complete shows. SWDRA teams head up to the cool country of Show Low, Arizona on June 12th as Thunder Raceway hosts the Dirt Late Models for the first time since 2007. The ¼ mile bullring provides some of the best short track DLM racing this side of the Mississippi and the teams are excited to be back on their schedule.
Canyon Speedway Park hosts the Total Seal Piston Rings SWDRA on June 26th . The Independence Day weekend has the SWDRA traveling north again to the Thunder Raceway in Show Low, AZ for a two day show July 3rd and 4th.
The next three shows are at Canyon Speedway Park, July 17th for some Saturday night action. The Labor Day Weekend will be a two-day show at the Canyon Speedway Park on September 4th & 5th. Prescott Valley Raceway then hosts their final Total Seal Piston Rings SWDRA race of 2010 on Sept 18th.
The season comes to a close with a two day special event Oct 15th and 16th. Details are not available but officials hope to make it a "must do" race for all teams and fans on the west coast.
