RINGGOLD, Ga. (April 8) - Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN captured his second Southern Regional Racing Series feature win of the 2011 season on Friday night at Boyd's Speedway. The Chattanooga 'Flash' dashed to the front from the ninth starting position to collect the $3,000 payday.
Cleveland, TX racer Chris Brown finished in the runner-up position followed by World of Outlaws Late Model Series regular Shane Clanton of Locust Grove, GA, who stormed through field from 17th starting to come home to a third place finish. Skip Arp of Georgetown, TN and Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA rounded out the top five finishers. SRRS point leader Josh Putnam of Florence, AL finished in seventh position.
The Southern Regional Racing Series drivers travel to Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY on Saturday night for the second night of a doubleheader weekend.
