SUMMERTOWN, Tenn. (July 17) - The PPM Race Products sponsored Southern Regional Racing Series took the series to Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, TN) Saturday night July 17, 2010.
Wayne & Carol Burns, owners of Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN, hosted the PPM Race Products Sponsored Southern Regional Racing Series Super Late Models this past Saturday night. 24 drivers from several states pulled in and registered for the 40 lap, $3,000 to win feature race.
Eric Hickerson of Linden, TN, set fast time over all which would secure the inside pole starting position for the feature race. The top six entrants that locked in through qualifying were:

Tony Morris (Murfreesboro, TN)
Josh Putnam (Florence, AL)
Jay Brinkley (Raus, TN)
The winners of the three heat races were Daniel Miller (Shelbyville, TN), Chris Ragan (Ramer, TN), and Anthony Siebers (Petersburg, TN).
Ben Kittrell would take the lead on the start of the race and hold on until lap 4. A caution for Seth Daniels (Collinwood, TN) would cause a restart of the race. Tony Morris would take the lead from Kittrell on the restart and hold on for the rest of the very exciting, sometimes three wide race, to take the checkered flag.
