CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (March 27) - Brian Shirley (Chatham, IL) wins after a third row inside start in the PPM Race Products sponsored Southern Regional Racing Series 40 lap feature event.  Event Images

Daniel Miller started outside pole and quickly took the lead setting the pace on the one groove race track. Disaster would strike Miller on lap 36 when engine woes would put an end to his march to the checkered flag. Josh Putnam, who was in third place, would leave the track at the same time with a bent control arm and broken ball joint. Two of the top 5 drivers dropping out of contention would open the door for Shirley to charge to the front.
Good racing action was seen in mid-pack by Anthony Burroughs, Jacob Grizzle (Blairsville, GA), Todd Hall, and Chuck Proctor. Each one was battling hard trying to move a little closer toward the front.

31 drivers from 6 states registered in. Jeff Walston had quick time of the night earning the pole starting position for the feature.

The top 6 drivers locking into the feature from qualifying were Jeff Walston, Daniel Miller (Shelbyville, TN), Steven Ashby (Cunningham, TN), Eric Hickerson (Linden, TN), Brian Shirley (Chatham, IL), Josh Putnam (Florence, AL), Brandon King (Decatur, AL), Todd Hall (Charleston, MO) and Jay Brinkley (Raus, TN).

Anthony Burroughs (Sheffield, AL) took the win in the first B-main. Tony Morris (Murfreesboro, TN) took the checkered flag in the second B-main. And, Chuck Proctor won the third B-main. Series provisional's to round out the 24 car field for the feature went to Michael Greer (Killen, AL) and Joe Denby (Tullahoma, TN).
