SRRS Media WHEEL, Tenn. (May 24) - The clouds and rain cleared in the early evening, giving way to what looked like a great evening of racing. But as more dark clouds began to roll in, it was questionable if the race would be able to run to completion. Drivers were informed that the race would be called if rain began after the 21st lap. With the help from mother nature, the track developed into excellent condition giving the field of 25 drivers a level playing field to compete on.
The weather may have finished the racing Saturday night, but it was Chris Ragan who was the victor tonight. With a green to checkered victory, Chris carried every lap edging out David Earl Gentry and Anthony Burroughs.
The rain drenched fans forgot all about the weather as they watched side by side racing and passing both inside and out. It was classic "in your face racing" like only Duck River Speedway provides.
Congratulations and thank you, to all the drivers for staying with us in our effort to finish the event. We are sorry the second event was not possible. Schedules will be reviewed to determine if a makeup date is feasible.
