Brian Garrison POCOLA, Okla. (April 3) - Outside front-row starter Justin Wells of Aurora, MO., led all 25 laps at Tri-State Speedway to win the opening race for the Race Brothers Farm and Home Supply Show Me Racing Series. Wells pocketed $1,000 for his efforts and now has 24 series wins in the seven year old series.
Larry Campbell of Van Buren, AR., started fourth on the grid and ran second for most of the race until Ken Essary of Cape Fair, MO., would overtake him on lap 13. Essary's night would come to an early end as a flat tire would force a caution on lap 21, giving Campbell the second spot back.
Randy Zimmerman of Fort Scott, KS., started seventh and raced his way into the top four on lap 11. 13th starting Chuck Comer of Jopin, MO., would finish fouth and pole-sitter Scott Fry or Exeter, MO., would finish fifth.
Next race for the series will be April 11th at Monett Speedway in Monett, MO.
