TRAVELERS REST, S.C. (March 22) - Two-time O'Reilly Southern All Stars East Champion Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, SC fought off a barrage of strong challenges from current points leader Jonathan Davenport and Tennessean Randy Weaver to take his second consecutive Travelers Rest Speedway Southern All Stars-East win. His previous win came in September of 2008. Davenport held off the high side advances of Weaver to finish second.
A scoring error was discovered post race and the line-up was corrected. Colby Cannon and G.R. Smith will move up to 8th and 9th respectively while Mike Ashley will drop to 10th in the final rundown. Ashley's machine was mistakenly scored on the lead lap.
