SAS Media COCHRAN, Ga. (October 30) - Third starting Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala, Florida powered past pole starting Randy Weaver of Crossville, Tennessee just before the mid-way point of the Southern 50 at Cochran Motor Speedway to capture his second career Southern Allstars victory on Saturday night.
Lloyd, a two-time series champion who earned $5,000 for the victory, put a Snow Brothers Chassis into VP Racing Fuels Victory Lane for the first time in the twenty-eight year history of the series. Weaver settled for second but stretched his points lead in pursuit of his second straight series championship. Phillip Pitman of Vidalia, Georgia was the top-finishing home/state entrant, followed by Swainsboro, Georgia drivers Chesley Dixon and Ben Faircloth.
The series final event of 2010, 'The Gobbler' at Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee is slated for Saturday, November 20th.
