BYARS WINS MISSISSIPPI STATE CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE AT WHYNOT MOTORSPORTS PARK

MERIDIAN, Miss. (April 9) - With 25 cars on hand for the second round of the MS State Championship Challenge Series event at Whynot Motorsports Park Klint Byars, a young gun from Calhoun City, MS would set fast time for the night with a 12.895. David Breazeale would win the dash putting him starting pole for the main event of the evening with Byars on the outside.

Byars would take the lead coming out of the chute with Breazeale, Brian Rickman, Jim McDuffie and Jeremy Broadus in pursuit. Breazeale would take the lead on lap six followed by Byars, Broadus, Bryan and Scott Creel. McDuffie would fall off the pace and exit the track to make adjustments and come back several laps down. Byars would take the lead on lap eleven with Breazeale coming out on top for lap 12 followed by Byars, Broadus, Bryan and Creel. Breazeale would keep the lead through lap traffic until lap 33 where Byars would lead laps 33 and 34 with Breazeale leading on lap 35. Byars would take control again on lap 38 and would lead until the checkered fell for the 50 lap caution free event followed by Breazeale, Bryan, Broadus and Rodney Wing to round out the top five.
