LUCAS SCORES COOL 7TH ANNUAL 'FROST BITE 50' VICTORY AT SOUTH MISSISSIPPI SPEEDWAY

LONG BEACH, Miss. (March 6) -  The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series will opened its 2010 season at South MS Speedway in Long Beach, Mississippi on March 6 with the 7th annual "Frost Bite 50".

As temperatures were dropping down to the "frost" range Shep Lucas of McKenzie, AL drove his Jay Dickens Trak-Star chassis sponsored by Nine Mile Machine Shop, Gafor Heavy Timber, TJ's BP, Performance Kwik Change and Lucas Fams to take the vicktory of the $5,000 paying event leading all but one Lap.

David Ashley of Zachary, LA came from his fifth place starting position to finish second just 2.5 seconds behind Lucas. Wendell Wallace of Batesville, Ark advanced eight positions to finish third while Alex Ashley of Zachary, LA would take home the speedwaycollectiblesusa.com / Barker Racing Engines hard charger award advancing 17 positions to finish fourth. Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS would round out the top 5 advancing 10 positions.
