SEDALIA, Mo. (June 25) - Springfield, Missouri's Terry Phillips scored his 97th Career Lucas Oil MLRA Victory on Friday night at the Historic Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Missouri. Hermitage, Missouri's Eric Turner put up a valiant battle throughout the main event swapping the lead back and forth with Phillips for several laps ultimately settling for second at the finish. Tiffin, Iowa's Denny Eckrich driving the 58x finished a strong third while Lucas Oil MLRA Point Leader Brad Looney out of Republic, Missouri worked his way from his seventh starting position to finish in fourth on the ultra fast 1/2 mile. David Turner and Dave Eckrich led the field to the green flag as Eckrich charged to the top spot to lead lap number 1 with Eric Turner and David Turner in second and third. Eric charged to the lead on lap 10 as Eckrich dropped back to second. Phillips had moved into third by this point in the race serving notice that he was a serious contender for the win. The first caution flag of the night flew on Lap #23 as Denny Eckrich slowed on the back stretch retiring for the night. On the ensuing restart Cross Timbers, Missouri driver J.D. Hubert made contact with the front stretch guard rail ending his night. As the field came to the green flag it was Phillips in the lead as he took command of the race taking the win.

Phillip's Don Babb Motorsports GRT Racing Chassis is powered by a Hatfield Racing Engine with sponsorship support from Andy's Frozen Custard, New Vision Graphics, Integra Racing Shocks, and Port City Racing. The $3,000 to win Co-Sanctioned Main Event was slowed by only two cautions.

Heat Race Winners included Eric Turner, Evan Hubert, David Turner, and Denny Eckrich. Al Purkey, Jeremy Payne, Bryant Goldsmith, and Alan Vaughn captured transfer positions to the 22 car A-Main Starting Field via their B-Feature finishes. MLRA Series Provisionals were awarded to Bill Koons and Andrew Kosiski while Gary Christian and Darrell Mooneyham earned MARS Series Provisionals.
