SEDALIA, Mo. (May 21) - Batesville, Arkansas' Billy Moyer survived repeated attempts from Crane, Missouri's Will Vaught to capture the $3,000 Lucas Oil MLRA win at Sedalia's State Fair Speedway on Friday night, May 21st. Mount Vernon, Iowa's Chad Simpson ran a solid third but it was all Moyer up front at the finish. Springfield, Missouri's Terry Phillips ran fourth with Corning, Iowa's Bryant Goldsmith rounding out the Top-5.

The points battle has tightened considerably has Coffeyville, Kansas' Al Purkey now has just a 6 point lead over Republic, Missouri's Brad Looney. Terry Phillips is only 2 points behind Looney and just 8 out of the top spot heading into the action tonight at the New Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Kansas. Chad Simpson holds down fourth while Phillip's teammate Jeremy Payne occupies the 5th spot.

Heat Race Winners included Chris Simpson, Terry Phillips, Matt Johnson, David Turner, and Billy Moyer. Alan Vaughn, Bryant Goldsmith, Chris Simpson, and Jason Bodenhamer captured transfer positions to the A-Main via their B-Feature finishes. MLRA Provisionals were awarded to Bill Koons and Joe Kosiski while Brett Wood and Dave Meyer were awarded Track Provisionals to fill out the 24 car starting lineup in the A-Main.

Moyer's Victory Circle Chassis has sponsorship support from L & D Trucking, Henderson Motorsports, Banner Valley Hauling, and New Vision Graphics. 2008 MLRA Champion John Anderson from Omaha, Nebraska was not in attendance at the event on Friday. 39 MLRA Late Models jammed the pits at Sedalia on a beautiful Friday night at the historic 1/2 mile on the grounds of the Missouri State Fair.

Saturday, May 22nd, the Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models will join the IMCA Weekly Series at Thunder Hill. Pit Gates open at 4:00 PM, grandstand gates at 5:00 PM, with the driver's meeting set for 6:15. Hot laps will hit the track at 6:30, with the first heat at 7:30 PM. Pit passes will be $30.00. Grandstand general admission is $15.00, Seniors 65 and up are $13.00 each, kids 6-12 are $10.00, and kids 5 and under are free. The biggest of the event of the Season takes place next weekend May 28th-29th as the Lucas Oil MLRA heads to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for the 18th Annual DART Show-Me 100 Presented by Lucas Oil Products. The MLRA has traditionally been a part of the Diamond Nationals on Mother's Day Weekend but the 2010 season will have the MLRA at both the $30,000 to Win Show-Me 100 on Memorial Day Weekend for the first time and the $10,000 to win CMH Diamond Nationals on July 17th.
