OSBORN, Mo. (July 17) - The O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil Products made their first visit of the season to the super fast US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri Friday night. At the end the 40 lap feature, it was Jeremy Payne standing in victory lane with the $3,000 winner's check. Payne dominated the nights activities after also winning his heat race earlier in the evening. Defending Series Champion, John Anderson worked his way from his eleventh starting position to finish second. Current Series point Al Purkey lined up sixth and finished third despite pitting early in the race to change a flat tire. "Racin" Jason Bodenhamer started fourth and finished fourth while Mendon, Illinois' Denny Woodworth rounded out the Top-5. Brantlee Gotschall, Chris Smyser, David Turner, Bill Koons, and Larry Clawson were sixth through tenth respectively.

Race Notes: Payne and Phillips sported new wraps by New Vision Graphics. Payne's Hatfield powered GRT by Phillips Racecar is sponsored by Andy's Frozen Custard, BSB Mfg, Integra Racing Shocks and Springs, and New Vision Graphics. Dennis Elliott captured the A-Mod support class win. Denny Woodworth ran second most of the race until losing his brakes late and hanging on for a fifth place finish. Terry Phillips also pitted early with a flat and came back to finish eleventh.
The action really heats up on Saturday night as the O'Reilly MLRA heads to the Lucas Oil Speedway for their 4th of 5 scheduled races there this season. The CMH Late Model Challenge is a $10,000 to win event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The MLRA stars will battle head to head with the likes of Scott Bloomquist, Steve Casebolt, and Earl Pearson Jr. just to name a few. It's definitely a show you won't want to miss. Gates open at 5 p.m with Hot Laps to begin around 7 p.m, and racing to follow. Adults (16 and up) are $25, Seniors (62 and up) are $20, Youth (6 to 15) are just $5, Kids (5 and under) are admitted FREE to the speedway for this special event.
