NEVADA, Mo. (June 13) - With the City of Nevada holding their annual Bushwacker Days in town, Jason Bodenhamer did a little Bushwacking of his own to capture the O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil Products Feature win on Saturday night at the Nevada Speedway. Jason led all 40 laps to pick up the $3,000 winners share of the purse. Nevada's own Brantlee Gotschall had an outstanding run to finish second with Corning, Iowa's Bryant Goldsmith in the third spot. Joe Kosiski had another great run to take the fourth spot while series point leader Al Purkey rounded out the Top-5.

Larry Clawson captured the sixth spot in his familiar L88. Brian Bolin worked from his tenth starting spot to take seventh at the finish. David Turner advanced 12 positions on the tricky bullring from his 20th starting spot to finish eighth. Defending Series Champion John Anderson had to qualify through a consolation race and worked his way all the way up to ninth in the final rundown. Matt Johnson, one of the '09 MLRA Rookie contenders rounded out the top 10 after winning his heat race earlier in the evening.

Bodenhamer's Hatfield powered GRT is sponsored by Warsaw True Value, Hitchcock Investments, Brookside Lawn Service, and Bodee's Race Bodies.

Heat Race Winners included Matt Johnson, Joe Kosiski, Brantlee Gotschall, Aaron Seabaugh, and Bryant Goldsmith.

Consolation Race Winners included P.J. Haskins and John Anderson

Race Notes: Series Provisionals went to Eric Turner and Bill Koons. Denny Woodworth had mechanical trouble with his Racecar Hauler and was unable to make repairs in time to make it to the Nevada Speedway.

With his strong fifth place run and with Alan Vaughn finishing just outside of the Top 10, Purkey has slightly increased his season long points lead to 36 markers over Vaughn and defending series Champion John Anderson, who has now moved into a tie for second. The MLRA point battle is extremely tight as there is also a tie for the fourth spot, as both David Turner and Joe Kosiski sit with 297 points.

Eric Turner moved up one spot to sixth with Jason Bodenhamer jumping all the way to the seventh spot by virtue of his win. Mike Collins sits in eighth while Denny Woodworth slipped back to the ninth spot as he wasn't able to run this evening due to hauler troubles enroute to the racetrack. Freeman, Missouri's Aaron Seabaugh rounds out the Top-10. Complete and updated Points standing can be found by visiting http://www.mlraracing.com.

The O'Reilly MLRA will take a two-week hiatus after this weekend as they prepare for the huge Independence Day "Freedom Tour". The Tour will kick off on Thursday night July 2nd at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. The Park Jefferson Speedway in Park Jefferson, South Dakota will welcome the O'Reilly MLRA for the first time on Friday night, July 3rd. The "Freedom Tour" will wrap up with a huge Independence Day show at the Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa on Saturday night, July 4th. Make your plans now to attend all three events and celebrate the Independence Day Holiday with the O'Reilly MLRA!
