Action gets underway in 2009 on April 4th with a visit to the beautiful I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. This will be the season opener as well for the I-80 Speedway as IMCA Modifieds, and NASCAR Pro-Ams will also be in action. Action for April shifts to the Show-Me State with a stop at the "Diamond of the Dirt Tracks", the Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, April 11th. This will also be the season opener for Lucas Oil Speedway with support classes to be announced soon. Adrian Speedway concludes the month of April with the Jack Vaughn Memorial on Saturday night, April 25th.
The month of May gets underway on May 8th-9th with the 3rd Annual SuperClean Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway. This $30,000 to win race is co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The Lucas Oil Speedway A-Modifieds, considered by many to be the best weekly show in the nation will accompany the Late Models both nights. This race is designated as a TV race by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and will receive national broadcast coverage. May wraps up with a second visit to the I-80 Speedway for the 8th Annual Alphabet Soup race on Sunday night, May 24th.
Lucas Oil Speedway will host the MLRA for their 3rd stop of 2009 on Saturday night, June 6th with support classes yet to be announced. Nevada Missouri's, Nevada Speedway, hosts it's first event of 2009 the following weekend, as the MLRA rolls into the historic bullring on Saturday, June 13th in conjunction with the Annual Nevada Bushwhacker Days.
A very busy month of July gets underway with a holiday weekend tripleheader on Thursday night, July 2nd with the series 3rd visit as well to the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska in a race co-sanctioned with the NCRA. The Lucas Oil ACSC Sprint Cars will also be in action along with IMCA Mods and SportCompacts. The Independence Day Holiday weekend continues with the first visit of 2009 to the 24 Raceway in Moberly, Missouri on Friday night, July 3rd. The weekend concludes on Saturday, July 4th with the first visit of '09 to the Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa. The Adams County event concludes the holiday weekend with a huge fireworks Spectacular.
After a weekend off, the series returns to action on Friday night, July 17th with the first visit of 2009 to the US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri. Lucas Oil Speedway concludes the month of July on Saturday night, July 18th with the CMH Late Model Showdown featuring the O'Reilly MLRA presented by Lucas Oil Products Late Models battling the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the $10,000 to win top prize.
The King of Hill Late Model Shootout featuring the MLRA and NCRA Late Models at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska kicks off the hot summer nights of August with a 2-day show on August 7th and 8th. The MLRA makes it's 5th and final appearance of the season at the Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, August 22nd. The annual Missouri State Fair Championships wrap up the month of August at Sedalia's State Fair Speedway on Sunday night, August 23rd.
The 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas finds it's way onto the 2009 schedule with a visit on Friday night, September 4th in a race co-sanctioned by the NCRA. The tour then heads to another new venue for 2009 as Heartland Park Topeka hosts the MLRA on Saturday, September 5th. Nevada Speedway is next up on Saturday, September 12th for their final appearance of the season. The series heads back north for the final race of September as the Cornhusker Classic takes place at the I-80 Speedway on Saturday, September 19th.
As if that isn't enough, the Al Bodenhamer Memorial at Adrian Speedway kicks off the NASCAR weekend on Thursday, Oct. 1st followed by the 2-day Capital Federal Late Model Showdown and Modified Shootout at Lakeside Speedway on Oct. 2nd and 3rd. This season finale has turned into a whos's who of racing as many of the NASCAR stars tend to slide over for a visit to watch the best dirt track racing in the Midwest!
The first printed schedules will be available at the Bodee's Racers Auction and Tradeshow on January 24th and 25th, 2009 at the Mathewson Center in Sedalia, Missouri. Doors open at 8:00 Saturday morning with the auction beginning at 9:00 a.m. The schedule is the same for Sunday, January 25. It's the largest annual racer's show in Missouri. Consignments are still in need with race related items for sale. Sprints, Late Models, IMCA type Modified, Factory Stocks, engine parts, complete engines, trucks, trailers, shop equipment, and anything automotive related are accepted items for sale.
