Dan Robinson BUCKNER, Mo. (April 10) - The O'Reilly MLRA presented by Lucas Oil has been forced to cancel the events scheduled for this weekend, April 11th-12th at the Lakeside and Thunderhill Speedways due to persistent rains and forecasted cold temperatures. "This crazy weather just leaves us with no choice but to cancel for the weekend." stated MLRA Promoter Harriet Chancellor.
The 2008 tour will resume on Saturday night, May 3rd at the Adrian Speedway in Adrian, Missouri for the Jack Vaughn Memorial. This will be followed by a rare Midweek show on Wednesday night, May 7th at the Lakeside Speedway which will feature NASCAR Sprint Cup star Clint Bowyer dropping in to challenge the MLRA regulars. This all leads up to the highest paying event of the year as the $40,000 to win Diamond Nationals, co-sanctioned by the MLRA takes place on May 9th-10th at The Lucas Oil Speedway.
