CASEBOLT AND MCCREADIE ON THE FRONT ROW FOR 'SCORCHER 100' AT VOLUNTEER SPEEDWAY

BULLS GAP, Tenn. (August 19) - A pair of Rocket Chassis drivers Steve Casebolt of Richmond, IN and Tim McCreadie of Watertown, NY earned the front row starting spots for the Sixth Annual "Scorcher 100" at Volunteer Speedway with their heat race wins on Wednesday Night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event which will pay $20,000 to win.

The other two heat race winners Joe Armes of Petros, TN and Don O'Neal of Martinsville, IN will make up the second row of the 100-lap event to be contested on Thursday Night.

Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN was the fastest qualifier among the 45 entrants in the PRC Time Trials as he earned an extra $500 courtesy of ATC Roofing.

Activities will get underway on Thursday with a driver's autograph session from 6:15-7:00 PM, followed by two 12-lap B-Mains with the top three going to the Scorcher 100. There will be a special "Dash for Coal" for the heat race winners with a top prize of $2,000 to the winner and then the stage will be set for the Sixth Annual Scorcher 100 - "A Salute to America's Coal Miners."
