LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES "MIDWEST MONTH OF MONEY" KICKS OFF IN KENTUCKY

CORONA, Calif. (April 28) - With nearly $300,000 in prize money on the line, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is preparing for five events that span four states in 15 days beginning this upcoming weekend.

The "Midwest Month of Money" will kick off at the Sherri Heckenast promoted Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, KY with the Third Annual "99 Extravaganza" on Friday and Saturday, May 2nd and 3rd. Each night will see a complete show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with time trials, heat races, B-mains and a feature event paying $9,999 to win each evening. Pit gates will open both days at 12 noon with grandstand gates opening at 4:00 PM each day, race time is slated for 7:00 pm each night. The following weekend all eyes in the world of dirt late model racing will focus on the Second Annual SuperClean "Diamond Nationals" at the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks" Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. The showcase event set for May 9th and 10th is quickly becoming a must-see race among dirt racing enthusiasts, and carries a total purse exceeding $133,000 with $40,000 going to the winner of the 100 lap main event. On Friday and Saturday, May 16th and 17th the stretch of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events caps off the weekend before the Memorial Day holiday weekend with visits to the Farley Speedway in Farley, IA and the La Salle Speedway in LaSalle, IL. Both tracks will have a complete show each night for the LOLMDS with $10,000 winner's checks available each night.
