PERTH, W.A. (April 2) - Craig Vosbergen survived Carnage and Mayhem to claim his third victory in a row during round 13 of the R2C Competition Filters Pro Dirt Series at Kwinana Motorplex On Saturday Night.

The night started poorly though for Craig suffering damage in the first heat recording a DNF. This menat Vosbergen had to charge the Worldwide Construction Machinery/RACIN Tyres & Accessories #8 Rocket from 12th place on the grid to record victory in the final. His word on the matter, simply "she was a tough one tonight." 2nd place in the feature was Jay Cardy (BBT Steel/TL Dozing #52 Cardy Chassis) who came on strong and had mixed emotions on his second place "The way we have been running we will take second but we thought we had the car to win it tonight." 3rd home was Jason Oldfield in the # 55 Litchfield Motorsports Masterbuilt driven earlier this summer by USA professional Jeep Van Wormer. Being only his second race in the new car the competition must be a little worried about how fast Oldfield will be when he gets used to it.

The two heats were races of attrition with only 13 and then 10 of the 18 starters surviving to take the chequer. Heat one was an all the way win for Brad Ludlow (#92 DiCandilo Steel City/Lucas Oils GRT) who has been unmatched for car speed at Kwinana this year. Following Ludlow home was Jason Oldfield & Ryan Halliday (#99 GRT)

Halliday stamped his return to form by wining heat two at a blistering pace which included stopping the clocks in one lap at 15.87 seconds whilst no less than 7 other drivers recorded lap times in the 16 sec braket on what was widely agreed to be the best racing surface produced at Kwinana in several years. Halliday was followed home by Jason Oldfield and Cardy

All the teams are now preparing for the penultimate round of the season back at the Perth Motorplex on the 16th April before the season ending double header at Margaret River on the 23rd & 24th April.
