OGLE JR DENIES PERRY AGAIN IN LATE MODEL ACTION FRIDAY NIGHT AT BOYD'S SPEEDWAY

RINGGOLD, Ga. (August 27) - For the second time this season "BILLY THE KID" BILLY OGLE JR. slugged it out againsr the "RINGGOLD KID" Jamie Perry for the 25 lap Steel-head LM feature Friday night at BOYD's SPEEDWAY. At racetime fifteen (15) teams signed in setting two heats prior to the $1,000 to-WIN "A" Main event. Winners RICK HIXSON and Perry brought the field to green, but it would be a lap 6 pass by the #201 "Kilby Equipment Sales, Grady King Construction, PBM Performance Products, Calhoun's Restaurant" sponsored GRT Competition Race Engines powered Knoxville, TN, racer, that would be key for the feature. "It's our third victory here in 2010" stated Ogle Jr. after visiting JODY MILLARD PEST CONTROL Victory Lane. "We like this Steel-head LM program ya'll run here on Friday's and it in turn helps our Super Late Model program, when ya'll have various series come in to BOYD's." Early leader Perry (1999 S.A.S Champion) hung on to finish second as points leader Hixson raced past LAMAR SCOGGINS. Rounding out the Top-5 was THE LAW-MAN MIKE TINKER. Ogle Jr. took the GA MEMORIAL RACE for the second consecutive time back in late May during a Volunteer Racing series event, that paid a $3,000 prize.

In other racing action: JASON THE FLYIN' WELSHAN of Maryville, TN was victorious in the Crate LM division against nineteen (19) other combatants. A wicked start to the feature handed KAYNE HICKMAN the lead early, but Welshan never gave up an conquered the 20 lap feature. JEFF SMITH was second passing Hickman late in the race with JERRY COFFMAN and last weekends winner CRAIG BURROWS round out the Top-5. In the A-Hobby division it was PATRICK WILSON taking the checkers. BOOGER BROOKS appeared to finish second but was found 15lbs. lite at the scales after the race. GARY JOHNSON, COREY CRESSWELL, CHUCK COOPER and DUSTIN CANSLER rounded out the Top-5. Points leader MIKE CHAPMAN picked up another B-Hobby feature win. TIM TOTHEROW, BRANDON FRANCIS, ALVIN SEWELL and JACOB STEWART followed Chapman across the finishline. For the second consecutive week JAMES DYKES has taking the FWD finale feature. MATT PATTON (whom was at the epicenter of all the brew-ha-ha last weekend) finished a strong runner-up to Dykes. Rounding out the Top-5 were; BRAD CROSS, MICHAEL ARP and TOM GILBERT.
