CLEVELAND, Tenn. (July 31) - In a tune-up for next weekends S.R.R.S Super Late Model special event, Knoxville, Tennessee's Rick Rogers took a Saturday night trip to KC RACING GRAPHICS VICTORY LANE at the Cleveland (TN) Speedway. With a POWERBOMB move off of turn four of the 23rd lap the # 44 "BKW Disaster Recovery & Rebuild, American Billett" sponsored Warrior racecar driver wrestled the lead from THE X-MAN Shawn Chastain and led the remainder of the 30-lap "A" Main feature, winning for the second time in 2010. At the start of the feature Fast Qualifier Bo Shirley had the reigns, but the Gadsden, Alabama veteran shut it down after only a handful of laps, handing the lead to Chastain. Second fast qualifier and outside pole sitter LIL' John Owenby went up in a puff of smoke on the opening start, that was negated by the flagman Monty Morrow. Behind Rogers and Chastain at the finishline were; Todd Morrow whom narrowly held off Preston Graves. Craig Burrows rounded out the Top 5 with a solid finish, readying for next Saturday nights (Aug. 7th) $3,000 to-WIN 40 lapper.

In the special B-Hobby Mid Season Championship Booger Brooks seemed to have things well in hand. But, thats why we race to the checkered flag, as Adam Earwood would outlast for the 20 lapper taking the win in his # 34 "Ocoee Tire & Auto, Precision Graphics" sponsored machine. Jason Brown would run second to Earwood with Loomis Smith third. Patrick Wilson and Booger would round out the Top-5. In the LLM/Crate 20 lap "A" Main feature Brian Pritchard's BIG RED MACHINE led the entire way. Justin Ledford dropped from 2nd outta contention early leaving on Steven Rogers to challenge the # 3 "George Shaw Racing, Ron's Car Wash" racecar. Behind Rogers at the finish was Heath Hindman, Jimmy Webb and Tanner Works. In the A-Hobby Robbie Greene was victorious. Jeff Paige (carrying sentiments for the late Ray Durham on his racecar) was second with Jordan Rodabaugh third. Barry Cross and Dustin Cansler rounded out the Top-5. In the final race of the night; Wendall Ingram won the Pony's over Jimmy Elliott, Danny Burnette, Chad Prentice & Tim Duggard. For more details go to www.clevelandspeedway.com
