EASTABOGA, Ala. (June 26) - A great battle that saw three wide racing for first place, eventually saw Terry Smith pick up his first win of the season in Super Late Model action in front of a big crowd on the second fan appreciation night of the season at Talladega Short Track on Saturday Night.
From the start of the race the racing was fierce, especially for the top spot as Smith, Ross Martin and Tim Busha would battle it out three-wide for the lead.
The racing continued to be close throughout the thirty-lap feature event, before Smith would finally get the win.
Busha would finish in the second spot with Danny Peoples third. Dillon Crim finished fourth with Chris Thomas rounding out the top five.
Jason Wilson won the twenty-five lap Sportsman feature event over Landon Sims in second and Logan Yates third.
Adam Martin won the Crate Late Model feature event with Lee Burdett in second and Jimmy Elkins third.
Eric Smith won the twenty-lap IMCA Modified feature event over Luke Riddle in second and Jamey Bevard third.
Michael Blakeney won the Thundercar feature event with Adam Magouirk in second and Matt Nicholson third.
Andy Davis won the Street Stock feature event with Dustin Mullinax winning the Hot Shot feature event.
Talladega Short Track will be off for its traditional "Summer Break" week coming up this Holiday Weekend. We will be back in action on Saturday July 10th featuring "Twin 25's" for the Crate Late Models plus its Kids Night featuring a candy toss for the kids and fireworks.
