PITTSBURGH, Penn. (September 4) - Cranberry Township PA's John Flinner picked up his third feature of the season in the Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models. Flinner started on the outside pole, but didn't have an easy time of it as he battled with pole sitter Mike Johnson for the entire event. Flinner took the lead at the start, with Johnson hot on his heels, Jim Stephans in third and Steve Baker in fourth. Flinner and Johnson went at it for the entire 25 laps, with Johnson actually pulling ahead of Flinner several times, only to have Flinner come charging back in the next corner. Meanwhile Jim Stephans was right behind the front pair waiting for either to make a mistake. At the end it was, Flinner just a car length over Johnson, and Stephans right behind. Brandon Burgoon was fourth followed by 12th starting Lynn Geisler, Baker, Jim Lepro, John Garvin, John Mollick, and Chuck Medved. Mike Johnson and John Flinner won the heats.

The 21st Annual Jook George Fall Classic for the Brougher's Machine Shop Fastrak Crate Late Models rained out from August 14th saw Greensburg PA's Daniel Angelicchio pick up his second win of the season. Angelicchio took the lead on lap 1 from his 4th starting spot and sailed to the win. Angelicchio maintained a good margin throughout the race. The battle was for second between 5 time winner Kyle Lukon and 3 time winner Mike Pegher Jr. The pair battled thru the entire event, and Lukon forged ahead with two laps to go to take the spot. Pegher was third followed by Justin Lamb, point leader Mark Moats Jr., Gary Knollinger, Dan Karalagas, Mike Reft, Jeff Broniszewski, and Josh Holtgraver. The regular main saw Angelicchio win again after starting third. He grabbed the lead on the first lap and never looked back. Mike Pegher gave chase but never mounted a serious challenge. Mike Reft ran a strong third followed by Gary Knollinger, Josh Holtgraver, Bud Watson, Dennis Neiderriter, Dan Karalagas, Nico Dabecco, and Mark Moats Jr. Mike Pegher Jr. and Gary Knollinger won the heat races.

Scenery Hill PA's Mitch Wattelet surprised the field winning the rainout feature from August 14 in the Sunoco Race Fuels DIRTcar Cadet Sportsman. Wattelet grabbed the lead on lap 1 from his outside front row starting spot and led the entire distance. Gary Koteles ran a strong second followed by Jake Simmons, Pat Weldon, Bob Schwartzmiller, Nick Kocuba, Joe Koteles, Craig Koteles, Jennifer Barker, and Josh Langer. The Cadet Frenzoid 25 lap main saw McKees Rocks PA Jake Simmons pick up his 6th win of the season. Kocuba was third followed by Gary Koteles, Schwartzmiller, Charlie DiLoreto, Joe Koteles, Craig Koteles, Dave Slade, and Jesse Gould. The two heats had Pat Weldon and Bob Schwartzmiller taking the wins.

Stalder grabbed the lead on the first lap from his outside front row starting spot and lead the entire distance. Daryl Charlier challenged him between lap 5 and 11, but spun and that put Wayne Tessean in second. At the finish it was Stalder, Tessean, Stush Sadowski, Clayton Kennedy, Daryl Charlier (who recovered to get back to 5th), Willy Briggs, Kari Gasser, George Nicola, Tom Martineck and Vince Laboon.
