(August 13) - It was lucky Friday the 13th and it was the first race program under new race promoters Donnie Sullivan and family and the clay would fly at Ponderosa Speedway with feature event winners including Victor Lee of Danville, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY in Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models, Michael England of Glasgow, KY in Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds, and Gerald Haynes, Jr. of Somerset, KY in D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman.
David Webb and Victor Lee would bring the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Model feature to the green flag, with Lee jumping to the race lead off of turn four at the completion of the first lap, with Webb challenging in slower traffic on laps 12 and 18 and on the final circuit as well, only to see Lee hold off his challenges. Lee would pick up his first win of the season at Ponderosa Speedway in the Jesse Puckett owned Puckett Automotive/Roush-Yates Race Engines sponsored #88 C.J. Rayburn Race Car, Roush-Yates Race Engines powered machine. Webb would take second, while Daniel Hatcher would claim third. Wesley Brummett would make a late race pass on Mark Walters to take fourth, with Walters finishing fifth. Lee would be the top qualifier among eight entries at 14.306 seconds, while Webb won the heat.

Todd Coffman would jump the early race lead and hold off the challenges of Jake Henry on a pair of late race restarts to claim his fifth Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Model victory of the season aboard his King Clean/Coffman Photography/Cook's Collectibles/ Two Brothers Café/A Breath of Fresh Air/Harrod Farms/Bottom Line Tax and Bookkeeping/Hurst Racing/Central Kentucky Log Cabins sponsored #35 C.J. Rayburn Race Car, GM604 powered mount. Henry would take runner-up honors, John Mulligan scoring a third place effort. Gary Yeager and Jeff Johnson would complete the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Dusty Maybrier, Billy Wooldridge, Jeff Rawlings, Clarence Belcher, and Josh Hampton. Coffman would also be top qualifier among 12 entries at 14.419 seconds and also win the dash, while Maybrier would claim the heat race victory.
Jason Wheatley and Michael England would race side-by-side for several laps prior to the midpoint of the 20 lap Clayton Homes UMP Modified feature race, with England taking the lead from Wheatley on lap 9 and pulling away in the final 6 laps of the contest to pick up his first Ponderosa Speedway win of 2010 in the Team WompusCat owned Williams and Tucker Auto Salvage/Jeffries Auto Salvage/Horton Racing/Waterhead Motorsports/Kentucky Cycle Salvage/Chuck Davis Machine/Simpson Machine and Fabrication sponsored #10.5 Lightning Chassis, Pro Power Race Engines powered unit. Wheatley would take a second, while J.T. Ayers would rally from an early race spin to claim third, with Tommy Gregory fourth, and Tim Patrick making a last lap pass on Shane McKenney to take fifth. McKenney would head up the second five, followed by Rocky Wilson, Randall Basham, Tommy Turner, and Dwayne Dietz. Ayers was top qualifier among 13 entries at 15.538 seconds, while Wheatley won the dash and Wilson would win the heat.
The 15 lap D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman main event would be a dandy and Gerald Haynes, Jr., Rick King, and Randy Petro would battle for the lead throughout the race, at times three-wide for the top spot. Haynes, Jr. would manage a bit of breathing on the final couple of laps and would score his fifth win of the year at Ponderosa in the seat of his Troy's Roofing/BSB Manufacturing/Cornett Race Engines sponsored #27 Chevy Chevelle. King would score a second, with Bartley Grant third, while Daniel Latham and Pat Hagan would round out the top five. Petro would limp his mount home sixth after contacting the turn four wall coming to the white flag while battling with King for second, followed by Stacey Decker, Eddie Stewart, Johnny King, and Jarrod Latham. Haynes, Jr. would be the top qualifier among 13 entries at 16.602 seconds and would also win the dash, while Daniel Latham would win the heat.
