Lernerville Speedway SARVER, Penn. (August 13) - Another beautiful night played host to Fab Four Racing with a $3,000-to-win DIRTcar Late Model Special. "The Truth" Gregg Satterlee came from 10th in a stacked field of DIRTcar Late Models to claim the $3,000, 30-lap feature. Jack Sodeman Jr. continued his recent hot streak by winning his second Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprint Feature of the season at Lernerville and eight overall. Kevin Bolland held off longtime nemesis Brian Swartzlander for his 50th Career Victory and third of the season to stretch out his Budweiser Points lead. Joe Kelley clinched his seventh Budweiser Track Championship by winning his eighth Charapp Route 28 DIRTcar Sportsman Feature of the 2010 season.
Gregg Satterlee won last week's DIRTcar Late Model feature, but with $3,000 on the line, he was eligible for the redraw; but still was mired in 10th on the starting grid. Despite the loaded field in front of him, including a front row of Budweiser Points Leader Dave Hess Jr. and May 7 feature winner Matt Lux, Satterlee wasted little time moving forward. Hess took the early lead as Lux battle Doug Horton. All the while, "The Truth" was flying to the front, every bit as smooth as he was fast. He was in fourth place by lap 13 when he dove below Doug Horton and Matt Lux in turns three & four to take second at the flagstand. Satterlee then set his sights on leader Dave Hess Jr. whom had stretched out a full straightaway lead. Satterlee quickly reeled in Hess and used a slingshot move driving high to low exiting turn two and underneath Hess entering turn three. He held the lead at the flagstand and cruised to his third win of the season. He claimed $3,000 in the process. From Sheetz Victory Lane, an excited Gregg Satterlee exclaimed, "That was a pretty wild race! The track was really fast!"
Hess made two last charges in both turns during the closing lap, but settled for second. Matt Lux finished third, Dave Murdick fourth and Jared Miley fifth. Alex Ferree, John Mollick and Russell King won National Guard Heat Races. Hess maintains his Budweiser Points lead as all drivers received 20 "show up" points for competing in the $3,000-to-win DIRTcar Special.
