SARVER, Penn. (July 23) - The Dog Days of Summer beat down on the Action Track for a hot and muggy Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing as the fine folks from Thoma Meats were on hand as the weekly sponsor. Tonight was also the Annual Joe Pitkavish Memorial for the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modifieds in which Jeremiah Shingledecker inherited the lead in the closing laps to cash in on his second feature win of 2010. Ed Lynch Jr. recovered from a brutal Silver Cup to win his third Ti22 Sprint feature of the season and Chub Frank scored his third win of 2010 at the Action Track on an off night for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. But the star of the show was third generation teenage driver A.J. Flick who passed Joe Kelley early in the Charapp 28 Sportsman Feature and drove a flawless race to win his first career Lernerville Speedway feature.  July 23 Race Photos

Chub Frank has fallen back in love with the Action Track at Don Martin's Lernerville Speedway. Instead of taking the night off on a rare open date for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, Frank made the tow to Sarver to compete with the DIRTcar Late Models and shake down a "new-to-him" car. And though it was Chub's first trip to Sheetz Victory Lane in the new mount, the car itself has several feature wins as it was Gregg Satterlee's 2009 chariot which visited Sheetz Victory Lane five times. After winning his heat race, Frank won the redraw jackpot by starting on the pole and led wire-to-wire, though Jared Miley never let him get more than a few car lengths away. His third win of 2010 was the 14th of his career at Lernerville Speedway.

Jared Miley himself held off a furious late race charge by Dave Murdick in the Jimmie Pitkavish #1 Late Model. Gregg Satterlee charged from ninth on the starting grid to finish fourth behind the trio of #1s, while Doug Eck recovered from an early race tangle with Kenny Schaltenbrand to round out the top five. Gary Lyle returned to action to finish sixth, followed by Alex Ferree in seventh, John Garvin in eighth, Josh Holtgraver in ninth and Lynn Geisler in tenth. Frank and Geisler were National Guard Heat Race victors. Incumbent Budweiser Points Leader Dave Hess Jr. suffered his second straight DNF after completing just five laps.
