Penn Can Speedway SUSQUEHANNA, Penn. (June 25) - Brett Tonkin of Carbondale, Pennsylvania continued his early season hot streak winning his second modified feature of the season at Penn Can Speedway. By winning the event he also increased his point lead in the division. In the companion Diaz Forest Products late model feature 2009 track champion Tracy Gregory of Dalton, took home the $1000 top prize. Mike Nagel Jr of Susquehanna took the lead early and held on to win the twenty five lap Hornbeck Chevrolet crate sportsman feature. Shane Wolf Jr rebounded from a last place finish last Friday to collect his forth feature win in the S&W Awards street stocks. In the four cylinder class Lanson Albanese made a successful return to the speedway winning the feature event.
The Diaz Forest Products late model feature saw Allan Kellogg take the early lead. Tracy Gregory was the man on the move using the outside to make passes coming through the field. Gregory caught and passed Kellogg on lap six and would build a sizable lead only to have the caution come out with six laps remaining. Gregory would hold the top spot but now had Jim O'Hara, Dan Snyder, and Dave Zona right on his bumper. When the green came back, Gregory stayed strong and would win with Zona, Dan Snyder, Paul Rooney, and O'Hara finishing out the top five.
