KNOPP COLLECTS SECOND LATE MODEL WIN OF SEASON AT SUSQUEHANNA SPEEDWAY PARK

NEWBERRYTOWN, Penn. (June 19) - The racing action was fast and furious at the Susquehanna Speedway Park on Saturday night with many new cars and drivers in the pit area. Dillsburg's Chris Knopp, ex-sprint car racer, now turned stocker, won his second Late Model feature of the season by leading all 20 laps. New Cumberland's Jimmy Slaseman was the benefactor on lap 13 when the two top cars were relegated to the rear to win his first Street Stock feature of the year. Dean Woolford of Summers Point, New Jersey (near Atlantic City) did not cross the finish line first, but was awarded the victory when the top two finishers were disqualified in post-race technical inspection. Andrew Frye won the 15-lap XSC Elite feature. Brian Lefebvre blasted to the lead on lap 4 to win the Road Warrior 15-lapper. Reed Salony battled Tim Henry in the 15-lap Legends Cars feature and claimed the win.

Racing action returns to the SSP Outback Track on Friday night, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. featuring quarter midget, kart and Adult Speedcar racing action. This will be the first race of the 2010 Summer Shoot-Out Series.

Racing action returns to the Big Track at SSP on Saturday night, June 26 with the Late Models, Street Stocks, Xtreme Stock Cars, XSC Elite, Classic Cars and Mini Vans. The annual Kid's Box Car Racing will also take place. Rules for the Box Car racing can be found at www.sspracing.net.

Saturday will also be the next "Hometown Heroes" night of the season featuring the towns of Duncannon, Enola, Marysville, Shermansdale, Elliottsburg and Loysville. All fans entering the speedway from the hometowns being honored will be admitted FREE to the grandstands by showing proper photo identification and filling out an information card at the ticket booth.

The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south.
