MANITOWOC, Wisc. (August 27) - Returning for a second straight season, A & W presents EWSC at the Fair brought clear skies and warm temperatures and promises of some great racing. A three division show was on tap for tonight so the crews and drivers could get out and enjoy the fair.

EWSC Late Models presented by Monster Energy Drink were led onto the track by Russ Scheffler (Waukesha) and Gordie Seegert Jr. (Oostburg), Pete Parker (Kaukauna), Tom Naeyaert (Shawano), Rick Scheffler (Waukesha), and Tim Buhler (Glenbeulah). Seegert jumped out to the early lead, but the race was slowed  by 2 cautions while trying to complete Lap 3. The first involved Kyle Odekirk (Waldo), Paul Dingel (Sheboygan), and Nick Cochart (Burlington). The second involved Naeyaert and Ron Stroika (Mukwonago). On the restart, it was Seegert, Parker, Scheffler, Buhler, and Rick Scheffler. This is where the real fun and games began as the drivers began to mix it up high, low, and middle. Jim Schmidt (Cleveland), Craig Schueffner (Sheboygan Falls), and Billy Rezutek (Big Bend) were making huge passes and gaining positions quickly. Seegert led the race wire to wire, with Parker second, followed by Rick Scheffler, Schmidt, Schueffner, Rezutek, Russ Scheffler, Buhler, Naeyaert, and Randy Markwardt (Sheboygan). Schueffner earned hard charger honors passing 9 cars, while Schmidt and Rezutek passed 7 each.
