CORNING, Iowa (August 14) - Coors Light Silver Bullet Late Model Main Event started with Jack Larson, #77, and Max Stone, M80, leading the pack . Larson didn't waste any time moving to the front as Tim Cooney, 12x, and Stone moved to second and third . By lap two, J.C. Wyman, 18x, pulled into third as Larson drove off the high side of turn two.
Stone, Cooney, and Wyman then made it three wide for the race lead down the back stretch until Wyman got pushed off the top of the track in turn three and caused a yellow. Larson moved back to the lead for the restart with Cooney right behind and Jeff French, 3t, in third and Justin Zeitner, z62, in fourth. Larson again drove off the high side but pulled it back on the track losing positions. Zeitner got around French for third as Trenton Jackson, #12, settled into fifth behind French. Cooney moved to a good lead with Stone dropping back.
Zeitner moved to pass Stone with six laps down. Zeitner took Cooney's lead on lap eight as Jackson moved past French for third. Glendenning started looking for the third spot at mid-race even as Justin Zeitner moved to a huge lead. Jackson defeated Glendenning and then moved past Cooney with ten to go. Glendenning followed Jackson around Cooney on the next lap with John Hampel, #2h, making his move. Hampel moved up to Glendenning's bumper but couldn't take his third spot way, as Jackson continued to chase Zeitner.
A caution was pulled with six laps to go putting Jackson right behind Zeitner for the restart. Zeitner managed to hold first with Glendenning and Jackson battling for second. Glendenning got past Jackson for second as Wyman moved up to fourth and then worked his way around Jackson with just three laps to go. Wyman moved low out of turn three and four but couldn't get Glendenning. Zeitner, Glendenning Wyamn and Jackson all made it stick as they drove over the finish line.
Finishing fifth on down were Hampel; French, Leon Zeitner, #62; Cooney; Ron Binning, #65; Stone; Larson; Rick Bissell, #42; and Duane Pospisil, #2.
