Manitowoc County Expo Speedway
MANITOWOC, Wisc. (July 30) - The Monster Energy EWSC Late Models rolled out, led by defending Champion Russ Scheffler (Waukesha) and last events feature winner Randy Markwardt (Sheboygan). On the second row were the cars of Pete Parker (Kaukauna) and Bob Cullen (Chilton). The green flag brought the field to life as drivers hit the throttle and looked to gain positions. A smooth, fast track contributed to a green to checkered race and a tremendous pace as the 25 Lap A Main was completed in just over 7 minutes. Scheffler led flag to flag while all the battling was going on behind him. With such a frantic pace, and not a lot of passing oppurtunities, the biggest movers were Rick Scheffler (Waukesha) passing 5 cars, Chris Carlson (North Cape) passing 4, and Craig Schueffner passing 3. At the checkers it was Russ Scheffler, followed by Rick Scheffler, Tim Buhler (Glenbeulah), Schueffner, Cullen, Markwardt, Ron Stroika (Mukwonago), Carlson, Paul Parker (Kaukauna), and Dan Dippel (Plymouth).
