PETALUMA, Calif. (June 5) - In the Late Models Jeff Decker brought his four-race winning streak to his pole position start and not surprisingly quickly grabbed the lead. Anthony Restad, who finish second to Decker in their last encounter, bolted from the second row into second place on the start and shadowed the swift Decker through every turn. On Lap 16, Restad squeezed underneath Decker in Turn 2 to take the lead just before a caution flag was waved for debris on the track, and when the race restarted third-running John Silva got by Decker and began to hound Restad, but Restad repeated shut the door on Silva, and despite finishing with a broken shock and flat tire beat him to the finish by less than half a second to claim his fourth career victory. Silva finished second, ahead of Decker, Paul Guglielmoni, Rick Shafer, Matt Michelli, Chevy McGinnis, and Rod Arnold.
