PITTSBURGH, Penn. (May 29) - Jeremiah Shingledecker Polk, PA won the BRP portion of Modified Madness. Shingledecker started on the pole, but had anything of an easy time winning the 30 lapper. Shingledecker grabbed the lead at the start with third starting Brad Rapp hot on his heals for second. The front running pair ran this way until lap 11 when a caution appeared. On the restart Rapp took over and began to pull away, while the battle for 2nd raged between Shingledecker, 8th starting Kevin Bolland, Del Rougeaux and Rex King. Bolland took over 2nd on lap 19, with Rex King moving past Shingledecker also. Shingledecker moved past King for third the following lap and began to battle back with Bolland. Meanwhile Rapp was on cruise control with a comfortable lead. This would all change for Rapp on lap 25 as a puff of smoke came out his exhaust, and Shingledecker also moved past Bolland for second, which ended up being a winning pass. A yellow appeared on lap 26, and Rapp pulled into the pits with engine problems. On the restart Bolland slowed, also exiting with engine problems. From that point on, it was all Shingledecker as he led the remaining laps to pick up his first ever win at the track. Del Rougeaux got by Rex King on one of the late race restarts to end up second followed by King, Rex King Jr., Jeremy Paup, Mike Turner, Jr. McGinley, Kevin Hoffman, Mike Miller, and Steve Feder. Three heats for the 28 cars on hand fell to Del Rougeaux, Gary Smoker, and Jeremiah Shingledecker .

Ageless Veteran Ben Miley, Venetia PA grabbed his first Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic DIRTcar Super Late Models since July 8th 2006 in a 25 lap non-stop event. Mike Norris and John Mollick brought the field down for the start. Norris led the first lap, before Mollick took over on lap 2. Mollick, driving a Jim Lepro backup machine, led the next 9 laps with 5th starting Ben Miley hot on his heels. Miley took the lead on lap 11, with Mollick staying with him for several laps. Meanwhile Steve Baker and Brandon Burgoon were moving up from their 8th and 9th place starting spots. The pair got around Jim Lepro on lap 3, Mike Norris on lap 5 and Lynn Geisler on lap 14. Baker got around Burgoon on lap 17 and began to reel in Mollick, but ran out of time. Miley cruised to the win followed by Mollick, Baker, Burgoon, Geisler, Mike Johnson, Daryl Charlier, Mike Norris, Dave Murdick and Brandon Wearing. Mike Johnson and Dave Murdick grabbed the heats. It was Miley's 54th career win, 2nd on the all time win list.

The ULMS Miley RV Service UMP Modifieds Modified Madness portion of the show saw Olean NY's Randy Hall pick up his 2nd career win at the track. Jeff Taylor and Daryl Charlier brought the field down for the start. Charlier grabbed the lead, while 3rd starting Carl McKinney moved into second on lap 2 and chased Charlier. For the first half of the event Charlier had things going his own way with a comfortable lead over McKinney. Several restarts kept the field close at times, but Charlier was able to pull away on each. Meanwhile Hall moved up from his 5th starting spot into third and began to battle with McKinney for second on lap 4. Hall made his move on McKinney for second on a lap 6 restart, and set after Charlier. As the race went on Hall gained on Charlier, and finally slid past on lap 19. From there on it was Hall's race as he pulled away for the win. Charlier was a disappointing second followed by McKinney, Kari Gasser, Kevin Miller, Tom Martineck, Kyle Bedell, Vince Laboon, Jeff Taylor, Jim Taylor, and Jim Turley. Heats for the 24 cars on hand were won by Carl McKinney, Randy Hall, and Chuck Kennedy. Chuck Kennedy had a fine 4th place run end on lap 23 when he slowed and pitted with mechanical problems. A lap 14 tangle involving six cars knocked Jeff Taylor out of a top five run, however he recovered to finish 9th.

In the Brougher's Machine Shop Crate Lates, Burgettstown PA's Kyle Lukon picked up his second win of the season. Lukon, who started 11th , passed early leader Darrell Dow on lap 9 and never looked back winning by a large margin. Dow who was having a career night, ended up second, but lost out in post race inspection, when it was discovered he had illegal tires on and was D.Q.ed. So that put Dennis Niederriter in second from 12th, for his best run of the year so far, followed by Bryant Hank, Laura Lukon, Mike Reft, Bryan Hoffman, Ken Chernik, Mark Moats Jr., Colton Flinner and Derek Stefanick. The heats had Dennis Niederriter and Kyle Lukon pick up the wins.

The Sunoco Race Fuels DIRTcar Cadets had McKees Rocks PA's Jake Simmons pick up his third win in a row in a battle with Bob Schwartzmiller and Pat Weldon. Joey Koteles grabbed the lead at the start on lap 1 with Bob Schwartzmiller moving ahead on lap 3. Schwartzmiller led until lap 6 when 7th starting Simmons took over. Simmons never could shake Schwartzmiller and Pat Weldon in his sharp new car joined the fray and shadowed Schwartzmiller. At the end it was Simmons, Schwartzmiller, Weldon, Joe Anthony, Joey Koteles, Bobby Heim, Curt Bish, Nick Kocuba, Bill Robertson, and Craig Koteles. Nick Kocuba and Jake Simmons won the two heats.

The Miley BP Car Wash DIRTcar Hobby Stocks had a new winner, with Baldwin PA's A.J. Poljak picking up his first win in the class. Poljak, a veteran in the Sportsman class, subbing for Eric Goldberg in the #25, grabbed the lead on lap 1, lost it briefly on lap 7 to Brian Huchko who was looking for his 4th win of the season, regained it the next lap and led the remainder of the event. Huchko was second followed by Jason Herniak, Robby Torrens, Ed Wiser, Ricky Steigerwald, and Dan Duseheid. Brian Huchko won the heat, winning every heat in the month of May.

In the Imperial Heights Garage DIRTcar Young Guns Sport Compacts, 7th starting Trevor Gombach Claridge PA, won his third straight feature. Trevor was followed by Joe Gombach III, Alec Broniszewski, Daniel White, Ricky Steigerwald, Justin Pons, Tyler Atkinson, and Hannah Ramsey.
