Petaluma Speedway PETALUMA, Calif. (May 22) - For the first 20 laps of the 25-lap Late Model feature Jeff Decker's three-race winning streak appeared to be in jeopardy of being snapped by hard charging Anthony Restad, but the relentless Decker, who's enjoying his best season since opening the 2004 campaign with three wins in a row, hung with Restad until Lap 21, when he was able to get underneath the race leader in Turn 4 and hold him off over the closing laps to earn his personal-best fourth straight feature triumph. The record for consecutive victories in the division goes back to 1980 when the legendary Larry Damitz reeled off six straight victories. More recently, Damitz notched four wins in a row during the 2001 season.
Restad finished second, well ahead of Paul Guglielmoni, who was involved in a heat race incident with defending track champion John Silva, but made the necessary repairs in time to climb from eighth-starting to finish third, while Silva was relegated to taking just the green flag before calling it a night. Chevy McGinnis finished fourth over Duane Cleveland, Rick Shafer; Dean DeVolder, Dennis Souza, Rod Arnold, and Steve Johnson.
