STEPHENS PICKS UP HIS FOURTH WIN IN A ROW AT THE EAST ALABAMA MOTOR SPEEDWAY

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (May 22) - Richie "Rocketman" Stephens driving the Bennett Logging Rocket #00 took the checkers Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway picking up his fourth win in a row. Stephens leads the Alabama Rock Late Model class with five wins for the 2010 season. Stephens took the lead from the Extreme Power Sports fast qualifier Dana Eiland at the drop of the green. Stephens, Eiland and Terrance Nowell raced lap after lap for the win with Stephens taking the win. Stephens was followed by Dana Eiland, Terrance Nowell, Chase Edge and Pat Wall.

Joey Thomas picked up his third win of the season in the Limited Sportsman division. Steven Gaines, Jr was second, Thomas Lewis was third, Joey Eiland was fourth and Jeremy Britton was fifth.

In the Scorpion Chassis Hobby division Nick Marsolf picked up his first win of the season crossing the line ahead of John Michael, Rodney Gorman, Jason Anthony and Stephen Goins.

The Bomber class was won by Jimmy Thomas taking the checkers for an impressive seventh time this season. Joey Keyser was second, David Osbahr was third, Chris Storey was fourth and Israel West was fifth.

Dustin Elliott picked up the checkers in the Modified division for the second week in a row. The #115 rolled into victory lane ahead of Lakeetha Skinner, Ricky Culpepper, Brand Lewis and Jeff Culpepper.

Lady driver Jana Renfroe picked up her first win of the season in the Pony Stock class. Renfroe was followed by Rick Gilliland, Larry Hodnett and Tim Goins.
