SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (May 22) - 80 degrees with a mid afternoon sprinkle followed by what seemed like 100 mph winds all night long are not conducive to great racing conditions but throughout the nights watering, misting and packing the track got consistent and smoother as the night wore on.

A caution with two down saw Peterson's night end as he started on fire under the caution lap. on the restart Foss lead with Mike Prochnow in second. Cory Mahder split Lance Matthees and Jerry Bloom to take over third. On lap three Matthees moved under Mahder for third while Kelly Anderson moved into fifth. In the BP WISSOTA Street Stocks a complete restart was needed before lap one could be completed. Mike Blowers took the early lead in turn three after wrestling it away from Dan Holland. Holland then had to try to hold off Troy Voth for the second spot with Voth taking the spot on lap three with Danny Hanson following him through to third. A three wide race for fifth was going on as Hanson sneaked past Voth for second. As the battle for fifth now became a three wide race for fourth as Holland tried to fend off AJ Zvorak and Dan Bork. Zvorak took the spot with six down as Hanson and Blowers were side by side for the lead. Voth spoiled the race up front though as he got his machine working on the high side and quickly moved past the front two to take over the lead. with eight laps completed. Hanson followed Voth through to second while Zvorak took over third. Hanson pressured Voth for the lead while Zvorak tried to wrestle second away from Hanson. Hanson took the lead with thirteen laps down but on lap fourteen Voth powered back by again to retake the lead and take home the win. Hanson followed through to second with Zvorak, Blowers and Holland rounding out the top five.

Colter Deutsch led the pack out of turn two for the Mitchell Dam Bar USRA B-Modifieds. Dan Tenold took over second with Brandon Hare looking to his inside. With two complete the yellow waved and on the restart Tenold and Hare raced for second behind Deutsch. Then the yellows waved again struggling to get the next three laps completed but as lap six was completed the field ran to the checkers without any more incidents. With seven completed Hare moved into the lead while Deutsch, Tenold and Nate Chodur raced for second. Chodur took the spot briefly before Deutsch worked back into the second spot. Kylie Kath sat in fourth watching the battle for second and looking for his way into the fight. Mike Jaeger worked into the top five late in the race. At the finish it was Hare with the win followed by Deutsch and Chodur.

Adam Stowell led in the Dirt Doctor Trucking WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds while they were three and four wide behind him. Jerry Young moved into second place and on lap two took over the lead. A caution with two down bunched the field back up and on the restart Young Jumped back out front. Mike Hernke and Dustin Scott blasted down low under Stowell for second and third as another caution flew for a slowing Scott. On the ensuing restart Young led with Greg Pfeifer JR. and Travis Krause racing for third with Krause taking it on the next lap. Another restart with five down saw Krause challenge for the lead with Brandon Davis now in third. On the next lap Davis took over second and tried to run down Young up front. Young was too strong up front, Davis would catch up to him but had nothing for him. Bryan Hernandez moved into the top five on the last restart with nine down and would slowly pick his way up to third behind Davis.

Jeff Brauer used his front row starting spot to dominate the US Army WISSOTA Super Stock feature event. Tony Bloom sat in second early until Kevin Hager challenged him for the spot. Hager took second with Ryan Siegle following through to third. With three laps completed Siegle got loose in four allowing Cole Queensland to move into the third spot. Up front Brauer was on cruise control with a straightaway lead and cruised to the victory ahead of Queensland, Hager, Siegle and Cale Berry.

In the EZ Fabricating USRA Modifieds the high side of the speedway seemed to be the fast way with Bobby Swanson jumping into the lead. Behind him Tim Donlinger, Ryan Ruter and Kelly Shryock raced for the second spot. Shryock took control of the spot with Donlinger constantly challenging to his inside. With five down the caution flew. On the restart Shryock pulled alongside of Swanson for the lead but Swanson was able to hold him off flying around the rail. On lap six Donlinger slid up in front of Shryock with Kelly cutting back down the track and retaking second going into turn one. Jason Cummins worked under Ruter for the fourth spot. With thirteen down Swanson pulled out to a 6 car length lead but lapped traffic was coming up fast. Swanson worked the traffic well as he drove low into the turns and moved up in front of the lapped cars down the straights but Shryock was getting through them better. Bu y lap twenty two the top four cars were nearly nose to tail as they circled the track with Cummins working past Donlinger to take over the third spot. Swanson held on for his first USRA modified feature win at the speedway holding off Shryock, Cummins, Donlinger and Ruter.
