SARVER, Penn. (May 7) - The Lernerville Speedway and the Greatest Fans in the World celebrated Mother's Day weekend by raising money for Breast Cancer Research and picking up the tab for all Ladies until 7:00PM! Severe weather threatened to rain on our high speed parade, but the only thunder and lightning was on the track!

Matt Lux trapped Gregg Satterlee in lapped traffic on lap 22 coming off turn four for the winning pass in tonight's DIRTcar Late Model Feature. Lux led the first 10 circuits, but on lap eleven, Satterlee split Lux and a lapped car entering turn three to claim the lead for the majority of the second half of the race. But Lux returned the favor as the laps ticked away and held off a late charge by Satterlee to win a thrilling 25-lap feature. Satterlee chased Lux across the stripe to finish second. Lynn Geisler continued his strong start to the 2010 season by finishing third. Dave Hess Jr. and Alex Ferree rounded out the top five. Geisler and Hess won their respective heat races!

The fine folks from Diehl Toyota of Butler were on hand as the weekly sponsor as the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modifieds rumbled onto the speedway with Brian Swartzlander on the pole. The six time former Track Champion led from wire to wire, but had to hold off the advances of Defending Track Champion Jeremiah Shingledecker and Del Rouguex Jr. to checker the 66th feature of his career at Lernerville Speedway. Shingledecker finished second ahead of Jim Weller Jr. who ran a solid and steady race finishing where he started in third. Dean Pearson finished fourth and Mike Turner continues to impress by rounding out the Diehl Top Five! Heat races were won by Rougeux and Weller.

Bob Felmlee started on the outside pole alongside hotshoe Danny Holtgraver as the Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints rolled to the green flag. Like Swartzlander, Felmlee led wire to wire, holding off a late charge by All Time Sprint Wins Leader Ed Lynch Jr. to pick up his first Lernerville Feature win of 2010; after going winless at the speedway in 2009.

All Time Division Wins Leader Joe Kelley headed to Sheetz Victory Lane in the Charapp Route 28 DIRTcar Sportsman Feature after passing Paul Schreckengost on lap eight. With a close battle between Bob Egley and Schreckengost, Kelley was able to hold onto the lead for the rest of the race to score his 34th career Lernerville feature victory.

Next week is another Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing sponsored by Valvoline. Friday May 14 is also Armed Forces Night and Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Night at the speedway.

The Lernerville Speedway would also like to wish our condolences to Herb Scott's family and friends. The Lernerville Hall of Famer passed away this week and will be greatly missed!
