MENOMONIE, Wisc. (April 24) - Despite starting a few minutes early, and moving the program along as quickly as possible, the weather won the main event Friday night at the Red Cedar Speedway. The last heat race had just been completed and the Midwest Modifieds were just moving onto the track when the rain, wind, thunder and lightning hit, ending all racing action for the remainder of the evening.
However, race fans won't be deprived of the main events they missed as double feature races will be run next Friday night. Feature races from tonight's Sailers Meat Market event will be contested for WISSOTA Late Models, Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds and Super Stocks along with the Red Cedar Pure Stocks. Then, a complete show will be held on Miller Lite Racing night at the speedway.
Race fans should stay tuned for more information or log on to the speedway website, www.redcedarracing.com for updates on next week's program concerning such things at starting times for the May 1st program.
