The 40 car field was narrowed down to a 20 car starting grid after 5 thrilling heat races and 2 Last Chances with the best in the Midwest on hand in the unsanctioned event. Terry Phillips and former MARS champion Bill Frye brought the field down to the green with Phillips taking the opening lead. Frye found a high spot in turn 4 and moved his car to the lead on lap 2 with Phillips glued to the bottom lane. The lead duo thrilled the crowd by swapping the top spot back and forth with each giving plenty of racing room to each other. On lap 10 Phillips took back the top spot with Frye staying close. Behind the leaders, Jeremy Payne, Brad Looney, Justin Wells and Eric Turner were battling hard for positions. The only caution flew on lap 18 as Bobby Maggard Jr stalled on the front stretch and Rex Merritt came to a stop in turn 1.
On the double file restart, Frye picked the bottom groove with Jeremy Payne on his outside. On the restart, Phillips shot ahead and never looked back in pulling away. Frye was starting to gain in the latter stages of the race as Phillips was making his way through lapped traffic. On the final lap in turn 4, Payne made contact with Frye sending him spinning around as the field took the checkered flag. For Phillips it marked his third consecutive feature win with his late father's name in the Memorial race. Payne crossed the stripe in second but was dropped to the bottom of the standings for the contact with Frye moving a fast moving Brad Looney, Show-me Series champion Justin Wells, MARS Runner-up Eric Turner and Tony Jackson Jr completing the top 5.12 of the 20 starters finished on the lead lap in the 35 lap feature while 17 were running at the end of the feature.. Heat race winners included Justin Wells, Bill Frye, Terry Phillips, John Beck and Brandon McCormick. Last chance races went to Mike Harris and Chuck Comer.
