Mike Swanger MILLERSBURG, Ohio (August 14) - The fans saw a little of everything and a lot of close, side by side action on a warm night at Hilltop Speedway with Jason Flory setting the early pace in the S & S Construction Late Model feature. Wooster's Doug Drown grabbed second away from fast qualifier George Lee on the second lap and set sail for Flory, reeling him in and powering past on lap 12. After that, the only problem the Wooster Glass #12 of Drown had was the lapped traffic as he made contact with DJ Miller with three laps to go to bring out the caution as Miller came to a stop. Fourth starting Drown pulled away from Flory on the restart to see his first checker of the year. It was a heated battle for third as Lee had to battle off Wayne Maffett Jr. and Ryan Markham the last half of the race to secure third as they finished in that order with Dave Hornikel and Spud Myers right with them. Maffett Jr. and Rick Bond topped the heats as Flory won the wild dash that saw three wide action and change of position many times on each lap. Jeremy Canada posted the win in the last chance race.
