DUBUQUE, Iowa (July 26) - A large crowd of fair goers came to witness the excitement of the stock car races on Sunday night. The large crowd saw Jeff Tharp take the early race lead in the main event. Andy Eckrich was on the move getting the third position on lap four and then going side by side with Mike Fryer on lap five for the second position. Tharp continued to lead after several restarts but with Eckrich hot on his heels. By lap 10 Eckrich was getting closer and closer to Tharp and took over the race lead on lap 11. Eckrich added another feature win to his belt ahead of Tharp, Jason Rauen, Joel Callahan and Fryer.

Ryan Deshaw used his pole position start to lead the modified feature. Deshaw continued to lead after several restarts with Tony Vondresky behind him. By lap eight Vondresky was catching Deshaw. On lap 10 Vondresky who was in the second position spun out and hit the turn one guard rail and the caution was called. During the caution the leader of Deshaw was slowing down for the caution and spun out on the front stretch. Both Deshaw and Vondresky entered the pits; Vondresky was able to return to the race track while Deshaw had to retire for the night. With both the first and second place runners gone a double file restart was in order. Mark Schulte took over the race lead with Tim Current behind him. On lap 11 Schulte and Current went side by side for the lead out of turn two with Current taking over the lead. Current continued to lead and took home his first Modified feature event with his new car. Current also scored a B-Modified feature win on Wednesday night. Jason Schueller came home in the second position, Ron Barker third, Schulte fourth and Sean Rupp fifth.

Other feature wins were awarded to Andrew Burk in Stock Cars, Jed Freiburger in B-modified, Hope Schmerbach in Limited Stock and Josh Chambers in Farley Flyers.
