JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (July 24) - It was the July Double Shot event on Friday evening at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY and Bartley Grant of Berea, KY would score the $1,500 payday in the Bob Allen Motor Mall Sportsman division and Brad Neat of Dunnville, KY would pick up the $1,500 to win Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Model main event. Benji Lee of Loretto, KY would claim the Clayton Homes Modified feature win and Clarence Belcher of Junction City, KY would score the Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Model feature victory.

The 25 lap Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Model feature would see Dustin Linville take the lead at the start, followed by Brad Neat, Dustin Neat, Victor Lee, and Mike Marlar. Linville and Brad Neat would go at it hard for the race lead before Brad Neat would take lead off of turn two on lap 6. Debris in turn four would slow the action on lap 8 and once action resumed, Dustin Neat would take second from Linville, while Marlar would take fourth from Lee. As Brad and Dustin put some distance on the field, Marlar would continue his charge by taking third from Linville on lap 15. Caution would wave again on lap 17 when Marlar's charge would end when he slowed on the frontchute with right-front suspension damage. Linville would spin in turn four on the attempted restart, followed by Bobby Carrier, Jr. drawing the caution for hitting the restart cone. Brad Neat would still be out front, with Jeff Watson now challenging Dustin Neat for second. Joey Tackett would draw the next caution on lap 18 with a spin in turn two and only more lap would be scored before Jimmy Crabtree looped his machine down the backchute. The final restart would see Brad Neat get some heat from now second place Watson, while Dustin Neat, Lee, and Linville would hold down the top five spots. Bobby Carrier, Jr. would make his way back into the top five on lap 20 after getting by Linville, but there would be no catching Brad Neat as he claimed the win in his NWN Distributing/Neat's Service Center/T&T Energy/Tarter Gate/Tarter and Roberts Insurance sponsored #41 MasterSbilt Race Car, Cornett Race Engines machine. Watson would take runner-up honors, followed by Dustin Neat, Lee, and Carrier, Jr. Completing the top ten were Linville, Crabtree, Tackett, Dwight Embree, and Ernie Cordier. Johnny Wheeler was top qualifier among 14 entries at 13.440 seconds, with Linville winning the dash, while Marlar won the heat.
