PEEPLES, Ohio (July 18) - With some rain in the surrounding area mother nature treated fans and competitors at the 1/3 mile speed plant 3 miles south of Peebles, Ohio with an unseasonably cool dry day. As the cool day faded into night action heated up on the high banks, with Chillicothe Ohio's Jeff Houser picking up the late model feature win. Winchester, Ohio's Weasel Rhoades picking up another modified feature win. Peebles Ohio's Dave Jamison rolling to the legend feature win. Peebles Ohio's Jim Chandler picked up the crazy compact win and Aaron Chesser brought home another Bomber feature win

Clint Jamison and Jeff Houser brought the late model feature field to the green. Jamison jumped out to the early lead over Houser and Mark Morrison. The action was slowed with a lap two caution when Weasel Rhoades went around in turn two. On the restart Jasmison maintained the lead over Houser and Morrison who rubbed while coming through turn one side by side. Jamison was the leader when a lap five caution slowed the action.

On the restart, Houser and Jamison shot into turn one side by side. Houser pulled to a slight advantage exiting turn two. Now in front Houser worked to a four car length lead over Jamison when the action was slowed for a lap seven caution. On the restart Houser pulled to a three car length lead, while Jamison had Weasel Rhoades challenging him for second. Houser began to stretch his lead as Rhoades worked Jamison for second. Once Rhoades cleared Jamison he set his eyes on front running Houser. Running the low line Rhoades began to slowly real Houser in. Lap after lap slowly closing up the distance between him and Houser. However, Rhoades would only get as close as a half a car length from Houser as the checkered flag waved. Following Houser and Rhoades across the line were Clint Jamison, Arnie Fields, and Darrell Reno rounding out the top five.

In victory lane when announcer Kevin Scoonover asked "Jeff what did you think about the track tonight " Houser replied "Man it's absolutely beautiful. That's why I came here because I knew the race track was like this. This is racing, it's cool. This is the coolest place I've ever been on to race. It really is"
