Chuck Griffith LAKEVILLE, Ohio (July 17) - Charlie Duncan was coming off his big win last week in the Late Model Triple Crown Series and his momentum continued as he won for the fourth time this year in the Hamlin Racing Engines Late Models. Rick Bond started third and as the green was displayed passed second place starter Coby Bartram and moved in behind Duncan who had started on the pole. Eric Eicholtz finished the heat in third, left the speedway and went to the hospital to witness his new baby being born, returned to the track and lined up in the fourth place and passed Bartram for third. On lap three Chad Hamilton rolled to a stop off of turn four as his fuel cell was ripped open and was dumping fuel on the track. After the fuel clean up Duncan went back to the task at hand and staved off the challenges that Bond was throwing at him. Ryan Eddleblute then joined the front runners. Caution flags on laps thirteen and seventeen saved Duncan from having to battle any back markers and cruised to the win. Bond was second with Eicholtz taking third,Bartram was fourth and Eddleblute was fifth. Heats were won by J.R.Gentry and Eddleblute.
