ZANESVILLE, Ohio (June 27) - It's getting harder all the time to find great dirt track racing but you can always count on Muskingum County Speedway to provide top shelf competition every Saturday night. After hot laps Doug Dodd blistered the track with a mid sixteen second qualifying run before claiming the first heat. The following brought roars from the crowd as Devin Moran out ran his "old man" in the second; Weston Hutchison scored the final while Cody Parker won the consy. Dodd led the main event out of the chute and make no mistake when the green flag waved the #12 checked out with the two Moran's in pursuit. Before mid point Dodd caught the tail of the field and this would soon become his undoing as Donnie closed in and stole the lead with only two to go. In this excitement Devin slipped high in turn two and fell to mid pack. Dodd held on for second followed by sixth starter Kyle Bates, Hutchison, and a hard charging Tracy Fritter all the way up from twelfth. Moran commented in victory lane "I don't know how much longer I am going to do this" but all his fans can be at ease, he will leave the driving duties in capable hands.
