BARDSTOWN, Ky. (June 27) - It was the 7th Annual My Old Kentucky Home Shootout at Bluegrass Speedway on Saturday evening and David Webb of Nicholasville, KY would grab his second win of the season in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Model action and become the first repeat winner in the division at the track in 2009. Other feature event winners for the evening included Timmy Glazer of Bardstown, KY in Street Stocks, Michael England of Glasgow, KY in Modifieds, and Avral Thompson of Loretto, KY in WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman.

The start of the 30 lap, $2,000 to win 44 Auto Mart Super Late Model main event would see polesitter David Webb spin his machine entering turn one to draw the caution. Under track rules without a lap completed, all caution cars go back into their original starting position, so when the green flag waved again, Lee Devasier would jump to the race lead, followed by Webb, Johnny Wheeler, Justin Rattliff, and Jason Keltner. Scotty Earl would take fifth from Keltner on lap 2, only to have Keltner retake the spot one trip later. The only other caution of the event appeared on lap 5 when Clarence Belcher spun his mount in turn two. Back underway, Devasier continued to hold the top spot, with Webb still in pursuit. Wheeler and Rattliff would begin to battle for third, with Rattliff taking the position on lap 6. Devasier would pull out to a five car length lead by lap 10, while Rattliff began to close on Webb for second. As the field saw the halfway signal, Webb had closed in on Devasier a bit, while Rattliff, Wheeler, and Keltner remained in the top five. The leaders would start working traffic on lap 16 and it would be two circuits later on lap 18 when Webb would fire a slidejob pass attempt on Devasier in turn three. The pair would contact exiting turn four, with Webb taking the race lead and Rattliff going past Devasier for second in the process. With Webb and Rattliff pulling away a bit from Devasier, Keltner would begin to challenge Wheeler for fourth and after a side-by-side battle, Keltner would take the fourth spot on lap 23. With Webb and Rattliff attempting to settle the issue among themselves up front, Keltner began to close in Devasier for third, while Jeff Watson was working Wheeler for the fifth spot. Watson would finally win this battle and claim fifth on lap 27, with Keltner working past Devasier for third as the field received the white flag. But up front, Webb would hold off Rattliff's challenges and score the win in the David and John Webb owned, ORS Auto Body and Collision/Valvoline/Marine Works/JDB Contracting/Dominator Race Products/FSR Racing Products/VP Race Fuels/PPM Racing Products sponsored #13w C.J. Rayburn Race Cars, Pro Power Race Engines unit. The remainder of the top five would be Rattliff, Keltner, Devasier, and Watson. Completing the top ten were Wheeler, Scotty Earl, Michael Chilton, Jerry Rutherford, and Ed Behn. Keltner would be top qualifier among 18 entries, with Webb winning the dash, while Chilton won the heat.
